Be Good Reviewed in Now Magazine and That Shakespeherian Rag!

Review of Be Good, from Now Magazine: “Though a cover blurb for Stacey May Fowles’s first novel proclaims it to be essential reading for women in their 20s, Be Good is also essential for 20-something men…I found Fowles’s characters eerily familiar…Fowles builds a constant tension between the external world and how it is filtered by want and need.”

From That Shakespeherian Rag: “(Fowles) provides a tightly calibrated, energetic look at the painful torsion and razor sadness that accrues to the experience of being a modern urban Canadian twentysomething. Those in her own demographic are likely to experience more than a pang of recognition; for the rest of us, reading her novel is the next best thing to being young again.”

Be Good Praised at Lipstick Indie Reviews!

“I can’t say enough good things about Stacey May Fowles debut novel, a story of several twenty somethings attempting to find their footing in life. The story carries you gracefully from one character to the other, keeping you in constant need to continue reading, to find out how they make out at the end of their journey. We get to ride along with the emotional ups and downs of each character, feeling both empathy and sympathy for the trials and tribulations of life and love each must endure.” -Carolina Smart, Lipstick Indie Reviews
