Coming soon: The Best Canadian Poetry in English, 2008

One of the projects Tightrope Books is most excited about is The Best Canadian Poetry, English Edition. This annual anthology will take the pulse of Canadian poetry on a yearly basis. Each year the anthology will be guest edited by a prominent Canadian poet. This year’s Guest Editor is Stephanie Bolster. Our Advisory Editor on the project is Molly Peacock. As Advisory Editor she will provide the continuity from year to year.

Halli Villegas will be a guest on CKLN 88.1 on Tuesday, September 9, discussing how this project got started, and how the final list of poets will be chosen each year. This is an ongoing project, and this is the inaugural edition. Halli and Myna Wallin will be reading some of the poems included in the first edition.

Interview time: 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9th. Tune in to CKLN 88.1 FM or online to www.ckln.fm and click “listen live.” Host: Myna Wallin.
