Come Closer, by Leanne AverbachCome Closer, written by Leanne Averbach, is a collection of poems that combines the realities of politics, environmental awareness, and social upheaval with the personal.

With poems like “A Thing Past“, Leanne creates a collection of poems that pull in the reader and wills them to continue. Come Closer encompasses Averbach’s left-wing-activist traits, her past as a trade-union-organizer, the loss of her parents, the homeless and many other images seen through the gritty lens of New York City.

Leanne Averback, a Canadian poet and filmmaker, has been published across Canada, in the United Stated and Italy. For more information about Leanne Averbach please visit her website.
