Roll With It is about Neddy,  a girl who is on her way to self discovery and finding out who she really is. She refuses to be a figure skater, like her mother was, with a schedule involving early morning and a diet or apples and celery sticks. Neddy prefers to be around the roller derby scene and become something that she wants to be. Heading into her first year of university she embarks on a path where she finds a new love and who she really is and what she really wants.

how to get a girl pregnant by Karleen Pendleton Jimenez

By Tightrope Books | November 10th, 2011 | Print This Post | Email This Post | Leave a Comment

how to get a girl pregnant, a memoir by Karleen Pendleton Jimenez, is being launched next week by Tightrope Books.

As long as she can remember, Karleen has wanted to have a baby; but that can prove a little difficult when you are a butch Chicana lesbian. Not deterred by this fact, Karleen embarks on a journey that spans several years, numerous doctors, and more than a few men as she relentlessly pursues her dream.  Sometimes heart-warming, at other times heart-wrenching, and always with a bit of humour; Karleen writes with openness and honesty, holding nothing back from her experiences as she attempts to achieve her dream of giving birth to a child.

Come to Slack’s Restaurant in Toronto on 17 November 2011 for the official launch along with Ashley Little’s Prick and Kathryn Mockler’s Onion Man.
