April is National Poetry Month here in Canada, and in the United States (Great Britain celebrates its poets in October).

Canada Arts Connect Magazine has rounded up a selection of “random acts of poetry”, and includes a line from an interlude found in Daniel Scott Tysdal’s The Mourner’s Book of Albums.

If you’re so inclined, check out some of the poetry collections and anthologies we’ve published, including our ever popular Best Canadian Poetry series. We also have a vibrant Best Canadian Poetry blog.

“Any healthy man can go without food for two days – but not without poetry.”
