Tightrope Books would like to thank judges of the 2010 Matrix LitPop Award, Roland Pemberton (Cadence Weapon) and David McGimpsey, for recognizing Daniel Scott Tysdal’s poetry!  We’d also like to congratulate Alex Leslie for winning the Fiction award, and the finalists of both categories.

The LitPop Award is co-sponsored by the Pop Montreal International Music Festival and Matrix Magazine, and is a competition to find the most original literary voices in North America.  The winners will be honoured in October at the Pop Montreal Music Festival and published in the winter issue of Matrix.

Tysdal is a three-time winner for his poetry, first for his book Predicting the Next Big Advertising Breakthrough Using a Potentially Dangerous Method (Coteau 2006), which received the ReLit Award for Poetry (2007) and the Anne Szumigalski Poetry Award (2006), and now for his unpublished poetry.
If you’d like to purchase his most recent book, The Mourner’s Book of Albums, please visit our website.
