Our Writing Without a Net workshop series kicks off this Saturday with a discussion of sonnets, hosted by poet Molly Peacock. Participants at all levels will have the opportunity for supervised writing to improve their sonnet skills.
The workshop is from 12 to 5 on Saturday, September 12, and will take place in the Tightrope offices at 602 Markham Street (lower level). Registration is $75, $50 for students.
If you want to come but can’t swing the price tag, fear not! You now have the opportunity to win a free slot. All you have to do is answer this question: What’s your favourite sonnet? (You’ll have two chances to win if you choose a sonnet that’s not by Shakespeare!) You can respond in a few different ways: in a comment here at the blog, on our wall at Facebook, in a response on Twitter @tightropebooks, or by emailing email@example.com. The workshop is this Saturday, so act fast and enter before Friday, September 11 at 5 p.m. EST.
(Also, shout-out to Oscar Fellini: You won our last contest, but I haven’t been able to get a hold of you! Email firstname.lastname@example.org to collect your prize.)
